Rich Patterson

When my wife, Sara and I moved into the area in 1988 we already knew Harry and Rachel Heintz a bit from a past common association with First Presbyterian in Schenectady NY, so it seemed natural to begin to worship at Brunswick Church--and are we glad we did! We wouldn't want to worship anywhere else!

Sara and I have been married for 38 years and have two wonderful, grown sons. I enjoy reading, writing and choral singing (not arithmetic!) as my hobbies. I LOVE warm (even hot!) weather and being by the ocean. My main employment is with Scripture Union USA as a writer-editor helping produce materials that encourage people to read and live by the Bible. I've been with SU for 36 years and counting.

My ministry at Brunswick is a limited one. As Parish Associate for the past 20 years, I've tried to be available to the pastoral staff to help out as I am able on those rare times when they may need an extra hand--such as covering for emergency calls when the pastors are out of town or occasionally preaching. It's not the most important ministry at Brunswick by any means but one that I value for the privilege of supporting the pastors and the wider ministry of the church whenever and however I can.
